The Tea Party Is Here!

From Michelle Malkin's website:

"The New American Tea Party page from “a coalition of citizens and organizations concerned about the recent trend of fiscal recklessness in government…dedicated to the Washington, D.C. effort specifically sponsored by the American Spectator, the Heartland Institute, Americans for Tax Reform, the National Taxpayers Union, Americans for Prosperity, and the Young Conservatives Coalition” is here."

The Rick Santelli (CNBC market anchor) news rant was the shot heard round' the world, or web. Last week while reporting from the NYSE trading floor, Santelli expressed the anger and frustration felt by many hard working Americans who are now responsible for helping those home owners who chose to accept risky mortgage loans and can no longer make the payments.

Even Joe the Plumber would see the absurdity in providing aid for home owners who have borrowed beyond their means, and who most likely will never be able to afford the final amount due on their mortgage. So, why might Obama try this you ask?

By stagnating the foreclosures in the housing market by heavily taxing those who have borrowed responsibly, a significant redistribution of wealth would occur. Down the road once those home owners who have received aid begin to default again, Obama will likely attempt to enact further legislation to repeat the process. This foolish act will be the topic of our first of three posts on the Stimulus.
